Playing Career:

University of Florida:   A three year letter winner at Defensive End; Named All-SEC Academic Team 1993, 1994, 1995; Won three Southeastern Conference Championships; Participated in two Sugar Bowls, and one Fiesta Bowl, the National Championship Game.

Lake Mary High School:  A two-way starter at Offensive Tackle and Defensive End, Awarded the Coach’s Choice Award, and 2^nd Team All Conference

Adam Donnelly- Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

Coach Donnelly is a graduate of Lake Mary High School. He played linebacker for the 1999 District Championship team. He went on to be a student at the University of Miami, coaching on both sides of the football as they played for the National Title. This is his sixth year coaching at LMHS. He and his wife Jessica have a daughter, Olivia.

Tony Ballerino- Wide Receivers

Coach Ballerino played Defensive back at Duval High School in Maryland for 3 years. He has coached youth football for five years and has coached the wide receivers here at Lake Mary for the past 15 years. His wife is Cheryl. Both of his children graduated from LMHS, Charna '04 and Anthony '00.

Anthony Ballerino - Running Backs

Coach Ballerino is a graduate of Lake Mary High School. He played running back and receiver for the 1999 District Championship team. He graduated from Macmurray College with a degree in Sports Management and Business. This is his fifth year coaching at Lake Mary.

Carl Tipton - Inside Linebackers

Played football for Seminole High School, was a two year varsity starter on the offensive line. Coach Tipton played college football at Kentucky Wesleyan College and was a three year starter. on the offensive line. Team captain his senior year and 2nd Team Mid-South Football Conference selection at center his senior year. For the last 9 years, he has served as LMHS's resource officer. He is the father of Josh, Jake, and Emily.

John Fernandez - Defensive Line, JV Defensive Coordinator

Coach Fernandez played football for Leesburg High School, graduating in 1990. he went on to play college football at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Coach Fernandez has been coaching football for the last 16 years, at Leesburg High and at the youth levels. This is his fourth season at LMHS.

Mitch Whittington - Special Teams

Coach Whittington is a 1986 Graduate of Centreville Academy in Centreville, MS. Mitch coached at Centreville Academy for 2 years, Zachary High School for 1 year, and will be entering his 4th season at Lake Mary. He and his wife, Marybeth, have two children: Kody, 16 and Peyton, 12.

Mike Kintz - Defensive Coordinator/ DBs

Coach Kintz played his high school football at Eastlake North High School in Eastlake, OH and went on to play defensive back at the University of Findlay '96-'98. where they won NAIA nation championship in 1997. Coach Kintz is a graduate of Bowling Green. His coaching experience includes 2001-2003 Defensive Backs Coach/ JV Defensive Coordinator at Eastlake North. Also 2003-2008 served as the Defensive back coach, defensive coordinator, and eventually head coach at Winter Springs High School. Mike and his wife Katie have a son, Tyler.

Zach Barr - Secondary/JV Defense

Coach Barr teaches math. He played football, basketball and baseball in high school and was a two year varsity quarterback for Belvidere High School in Belvidere, IL . Coach Barr coached Freshman/JV Quarterbacks coach at Rochelle Township High School and he also coached the OL/DL at South Lake High School in Clermont.

Pat Barrett - Head Freshmen Coach

Coach Barrett played high school football at Lake Mary from 2000 - 2003. He played offensive line and defensive line. He is also the assistant girls lacrosse coach and head girls weightlifting coach.
